The Rockledge Men's Club is open to all residents of West Hartford and non residents as well. If you are interested in joining the Men's Club, fill out a Membership Application and bring it down to the Rockledge Golf Shop or mail it to the address on the application. Rockledge Men's Club is made up of golfers of all abilities and the Club offers an outstanding opportunity to play competitive golf at a superb golfing facility, as well as meet and play with some of West Hartford's finest residents.

The Men's Club has a fantastic relationship with Richard Crowe, PGA head golf professional, and his entire staff (Andrew and Bob). Rich and his team do an outstanding job managing the course, the tournaments, tee times, and operating the Golf Shop. As I pen this message, Ground Hog Day and Valentine’s Day are behind us.  Spring is just around the corner!   Rockledge will open and you’ll be there on the first tee.  Isn’t it a great time of the year?

Your Executive Board has already been hard at work getting ready for the season:

·         Men’s Club Membership fees remain unchanged for another year. 

·         The Tournament Schedule has been finalized.

·         Tentative funding for the each of the Tournament Prize Pools has been determined.

·         A Budget has been adopted.

·         We’ve agreed that the “Rule of 85” should allow those whose Age plus  handicap equal or exceed 85 to use the forward [White] tees for Scramble and ABCD events.

·         We’ve begun work to revitalize the Men’s Club website and the Town’s Leisure Services Department has contracted for the development of a new website for Rockledge Golf Course [GolfRockledge.com]. 

·         The Membership Committee is about to solicit your membership and dues and sponsors are being lined up. 

How’s that for being almost ready for the season to begin?

 On behalf of the Executive Board, I hope the winter season has been kind to you and yours and wish you the best for your rounds at Rockledge during 2012!  Hit ‘em long and straight… and not too often!
